Hi. My name is Luke Billinton and I’m just an avid F1 fan with a passion to learn about the sports past, present and future and its numerous complexes. If you share this simple yet expansive interest with me then I reckon you’re in the right place.

I write about my stated interest, taking facts and statistics about a certain topic from the sport, and exploring differing opinions about it. Historical context is applied. The written pieces are a mix of historical descriptive and analytical opinionated.

I feel what makes my pieces unique is my sheer passion for the sport (people have likened my head to a sponge when it comes to F1 because I absorb and retain any information I come across).

I began this blog the summer I left school because I didn’t have much of a direction in terms of future interests. I thought to myself ‘ People already write about F1 and maybe this could lead me down a path to future opportunities which involve F1 in some way’. All in all then,  ‘The F1 Lounge’  is my intellectual output.
